A prominent real estate company in the San Francisco area bought and remodeled a building for their new corporate location. Once finished, they wanted to have an upscale grand opening for all their employees, clients, title companies and mortgage partners. Their vision was to highlight the office's locally sourced sustainable construction, progressive working environment, the values of the company and their work within the community. The attendance was estimated to be between 200-250 guests. The company wanted the “party” and all food and drink to be outside in their parking lot, so guests could tour their new office location but not risk having food or drink spills inside their new building space. The challenge was turning a parking lot into an upscale event location that was earthy, reflecting their brand and their vision for this event. We hung rows of grey, sage and taupe silk LED circular lanterns across the parking lot to reflect an earthy yet upscale feel - while also providing soft lighting for the event. We placed sitting areas throughout the parking lot, with contemporary couches in warm earth tones and dark wood distressed tables. We acquired tree saplings from the Arbor Foundation and placed them in clear tubes branded with the company logo as giveaways for attendees. Earth tone linens and off-white florals with curly willow adorned each of the cocktail tables, wood bar and the main buffet table. There was a live band and an interactive photo booth with props to add further to the ambiance.
